Vodafone is going to sell towers!!!

     Nation's third largest mobile service provider Vodafone Essar Telecoms is going to sell their towers. Company holds seven thousand towers in seven circles. Other towers are in collaboration with Airtel and Idea cellular.


     Each selling tower has a value of 35-40 lakhs. With the selling of 2000 towers company is expecting approx. 2000 crore rupees.


        Companies like GTL Infrastructure and Tata Viom already expressed their interest in towers. An another American telecoms company also in competition. Vodaone Essar is also planning to contract their towers to Indus towers. Vodafone have 42% shares in Indus towers while Airtel Bharati holds 42%,  and Idea holds 16% shares.

        For enabling 3G services nation wide Vodafone requires 5000 crore rupees.They already invested 12,000 crore rupees in 12 circle in 3G license fees.
